UCLA Engineering: Sixty Years of Engineering Excellence

In 2005, the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science celebrates its 60th anniversary. Under the leadership of Dean Llewellyn M. K. Boelter, the UCLA College of Engineering welcomed its first engineering students in 1945.

Much has changed since those early days of engineering at UCLA, but the School remains committed to excellence in engineering education, research and outreach to society.
