UCLA Engineering Holds School-wide Research Review on “Multidisciplinary Engineering for the 21st Century”

UCLA Engineering Research Review
Marking another milestone year of growth, the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science held a school-wide Research Review in May. Focusing on the convergence of bio-nano-info technologies, the event highlighted breakthrough research in the School, as well as news from industry and government.

“Our annual review is an opportunity for us to showcase the School’s research accomplishments. It is this research, done by our exceptionally talented faculty and students, along with collaborations with other top institutions, industry, and government that make us one of the top 10 public engineering schools in the country,” said Dean Vijay K. Dhir. “We were pleased to share our exceptional work with alumni and our partners in government and industry.”

Venture capital panelists
More than 300 people attended the day-long event, where they heard plenary presentations in the morning, participated in a venture capital panel discussion at lunch, and enjoyed a range of focused technical sessions and a poster session in the afternoon.
