RFID Sensor Technology–Not Ready
for Prime Time
Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, has been
a much hyped technology over the last several years. So why aren't
radio frequency identification chips attached to multitudes of
products and embedded in our bodies?
UCLA Engineering professor Rajit Gadh, an expert
in RFID who also serves as the director of WINMEC (the Wireless
Internet for the Mobile Enterprise Consortium), talks about the
current state of RFID in a five-minute interview conducted by
ZDNeT's Editor-in-Chief, Dan Farber.
